Implications of the study of dilemmas

Difficult penultimate chapter written put into final draft today.  Here’s today’s taster:

“Previous chapters used the professional dilemmas encountered by school leaders to open up to view the dynamic daily interaction between psychology, politics and ethics which characterises the social life of contemporary school communities.  This chapter introduces a number of wider policy and practice implications which arise from that analysis.

  • The role and responsibilities involved in leadership in schools
  • Public service and civic society
  • Democracy and education”

Big topics. .. hard to do more than sketch out what the territory might look like with one or two sample illustrations…
